Nina Mûr
Madrid microfactory pressing Finnish birch plywood into feather-light, colourful frames.
The story
Lorena Serrano grew up around her family's optical business. The label began as a way to give the family shops their own collection without the limits of standard industry production. It started under her alter ego, Nina Quiche, and was renamed Nina Mûr as it matured. From the beginning it was built around a self-made Finnish birch plywood that is pressed into a curve and cut with in-house software. Today it makes everything in a Madrid microfactory and sells mainly through independent opticians.
